Online Therapy

Your safety, circumstances, and preferences matter to me. In order to help contain the spread of COVID-19, facilitate your access to services, and to accommodate your personal preferences, I offer you the option of conducting therapy sessions online. Does it work and how?

Are online therapy sessions private?

  • I conduct online therapy via doxy.me. All data are encrypted, your sessions remain anonymous, and none of your information is stored. Doxy adheres to national and international data privacy requirements. Sessions are private and secure, and their platform is simple and easy to use.

  • Your personal preferences also matter to me. Although other services may not be as secure, I offer you the choice to conduct online therapy via Skype, FaceTime, and WhatsApp.

Does online therapy work?

  • I have been conducting online therapy sessions for years (in addition to therapy in person) and have received positive feedback from clients.

  • Online therapy is not new. It is practical, simple, and most importantly, it is effective! “Research studies, many of which are listed in bibliography format by the Telemental Health Institute, also indicate that telemental health is equivalent to face-to-face care in various settings and an acceptable alternative” (APA). The Ordre des psychologues du Québec approves of online therapy.

Get in Touch

Unfortunately, my practice is presently full, so I am unable to take on any new clients at this time. If you like, I could place your name on my waitlist and would reach out as soon as I have an opening. I meet with clients in my Montreal office, for sessions via telephone, and for online therapy.
