Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I provide psychotherapy for individuals of all ages experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, and parenting difficulties. I also offer litigation consulting and lead workshops for lawyers and schools.

My goal is to empower people with the knowledge, skills, and support to move forward in their lives. I focus on “what works,” adapting evidence-based care to each person’s unique needs and circumstances.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology at Concordia University, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University. I have worked in hospital, clinic and community centre settings in Nova Scotia and Ontario. I have also worked in private clinics in Quebec, including the McGill-affiliated Emotional Health CBT Clinic. I have presented guest lectures at McGill University, Dawson College and the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre, and have been interviewed on CTV News Montreal. I am a recurring guest expert on CJAD 800 AM radio programs.

I currently work in private practice in Montreal and am a member in good standing with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.

Therapy

Children, Adolescents, and Adults

I am dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults move forward through difficult periods. Together, we will develop personalized strategies to overcome the anxiety, depression, stress, parenting difficulties or other painful thoughts and feelings preventing you from reaching your goals and functioning at your best.

In a supportive and collaborative environment, my goal is to provide you with the best possible care, using techniques supported by research as being effective. I use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions.

I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, including healthy anxiety, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias, postpartum anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also help young people with mental health concerns. I provide care and support to their parents, including strategies for managing mood, anxiety, and challenging behaviours.

Workshops and Professional Training

I offer customised workshops for law firms and schools, designed to support professionals in navigating complex emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal challenges in their work. Each workshop is adapted to the audience’s specific needs and goals, with a focus on providing practical, evidence-based strategies.

Workshops for Law Firms

As both a psychologist and litigation consultant, I provide workshops tailored to the realities of legal practice. These sessions help lawyers manage the stressors of the profession and work more effectively with clients–particularly those experiencing psychological distress.

Examples of workshop topics include:

  • Managing stress and burnout in the legal profession
  • Improving client interactions
  • Navigating difficult conversations and conflict resolution with clients
  • Resilience and coping mechanisms in high-pressure environments

Workshops for Schools

I work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and resource staff to develop targeted workshops that support both students and educators.

Examples of workshop topics include:

  • Recognising and supporting anxiety in children
  • Promoting independent task completion
  • Strategies for managing noncompliance and challenging behaviour
  • Understanding and supporting neurodivergent students (e.g., Autism, ADHD)
  • Identifying and responding to student mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
