I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I provide psychotherapy and counselling to help people across the lifespan who are dealing with mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, anger, and low self-esteem. I also do litigation consulting and offer workshops to attorneys and schools.
I am dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults move forward through difficult periods in their lives. Together, we will develop personalized strategies to deal with the anxiety, depression, stress, parenting difficulties or other painful thoughts and feelings preventing you from reaching your goals and functioning at your best.
In a supportive and collaborative environment, my goal is to provide you with the best possible care, using techniques supported by research as being effective. I use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions.
I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, including healthy anxiety, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias, postpartum anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also help young people with mental health concerns. I provide care and support to their parents, including strategies for managing mood, anxiety, and challenging behaviours.
I provide customized workshops to lawyers to help them meet the unique needs of clients in litigation, and to cope with the stressors of the profession. Examples of workshops I have presented include general strategies for managing clients, strategies for dealing with distressed clients, and self-care tools for lawyers. I also present workshops on various conditions and concerns, such as Autism, developmental disabilities, parental alienation, burnout, and depression.
I work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and resource staff to develop workshops that fit their unique needs.
Examples of workshops I can present include:
As a litigation consultant, I help prepare lawyers and clients for court appearances, and provide information on effective communication and on coping techniques for clients regarding their stress, mood, and anxiety related to litigation.
Your safety, circumstances, and preferences matter to me. In order to help contain the spread of COVID-19, facilitate your access to services, and to accommodate your personal preferences, I offer you the option of conducting therapy sessions online. Does it work and how?
Unfortunately, my practice is presently full, so I am unable to take on any new clients at this time. If you like, I could place your name on my waitlist and would reach out as soon as I have an opening. I meet with clients in my Montreal office, for sessions via telephone, and for online therapy.
