Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I am a clinical psychologist. I provide psychotherapy and counselling to help people across the lifespan who are dealing with mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, anger, and low self-esteem. I also do litigation consulting and offer workshops to attorneys and schools.

My goal is to empower people with the knowledge, skills, and support to move forward in their lives. My philosophy in treatment is “what works.” In so doing, I adapt evidence-based care to my clients’ unique needs and circumstances.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology at Concordia University, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University. I have worked in hospital, clinic and community centre settings in Nova Scotia and Ontario. I have also worked in private clinics in Quebec, including the McGill-affiliated Emotional Health CBT Clinic.

I have presented guest lectures at McGill University, Dawson College and the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre, and have been interviewed on CTV News Montreal. I am a recurring guest expert at The Natasha Hall Show, The Andrew Carter Morning Show and The Aaron Rand Show on CJAD 800 AM. I presently work in private practice in Montreal. I am a member in good standing with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.

Therapy

Children, Adolescents, and Adults

I am dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults move forward through difficult periods in their lives. Together, we will develop personalized strategies to deal with the anxiety, depression, stress, parenting difficulties or other painful thoughts and feelings preventing you from reaching your goals and functioning at your best.

In a supportive and collaborative environment, my goal is to provide you with the best possible care, using techniques supported by research as being effective. I use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions.

I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, including healthy anxiety, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias, postpartum anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also help young people with mental health concerns. I provide care and support to their parents, including strategies for managing mood, anxiety, and challenging behaviours.
